Lickpenny Caravan Park - Matlock
Ok so this was our first ever campsite, so I suppose it could be claimed it was our first love - especially considering how special the place of Matlock is to us.
It can't just be our sentimentality that makes this place so special though as everyone we have recommended it to all agree with us. It is a great site. Its worth noting it is privately run so there is no red tape or pitch marking pegs in site. You can park wherever you want on your pitch.
Choosing how to park on the pitches is more difficult than you would think as the pitches are huge. Also owing to hedges all the way around they are well secluded.
This site is always immaculate and well tended irrespective of the time of year. We can thoroughly recommend both Spring and Autumn however as this is when the site showcases its colours best.
The site has a play area, picnic areas, woodland walk, dog exercising area, oh and a Garden centre within walking distance for Breakfast and lunch Don't believe how gorgeous it is here? Watch these two vlogs to find out.
